For many years there has been a debate around whether it is the Airports or the Airlines who ‘own’ the passenger, but what is for sure, is that, today, the Airports enable many of the next generation technologies to be used.
We are pleased to share with you a video of our latest showcase at London Heathrow Airport, which is the busiest airport in the United Kingdom, busiest airport in Europe by passenger traffic and third busiest airport in the world by total passenger traffic.
Location based technologies can bring a number of benefits to airports, airlines and passengers at the same time, hence being a hot topic for development and implementation.
For example, with Pointr+Airport technology, airports can better understand the journey of a passenger from the moment they arrive in the car park until the they are on the plane. This data can also be very powerful for the retail, security and operations teams in terms of improving customer experience and saving money at the same time.
For airlines, the possibility of knowing where a passenger is can help reduce delays to planes, while speeding up boarding and improving the experience such as being able to greet people by name on arrival in a VIP lounge.
